Engagement is one of the most exciting times in peoples lives. Everyone likes to celebrate this special time in different ways, and that includes engagement photos. This transitional time between falling in love and creating a new life together can be captured perfectly with a little preparation, the right location, and a great camera.
(This location could be used for a scene in The Lord of the Rings.)
Every single couple is unique. In a free consultation beforehand, we speak with the couple to originate ideas of how to present their personalities and uniqueness to the camera. The end result should leave them saying, "That picture is totally us!". This could mean taking photos at places the couple love, recreating a favorite activity, or anything that is significant to the pair.
"OMG. THAT'S SO US."

On our shoot, we take note of how you interact with each other, your individual personalities and even your quirks. These details will help to capture moments on the wedding day that are unique to just the two of you. It’s a great time to learn about your love story, chat about your wedding plans, and practice for the big day. You will be able to communicate what you like and don’t like, as well as your preference for angles, expressions, or poses.
After our shoot you choose the photos you like best, and we edit them. You can use them for save-the-date cards, receptions seating charts and table indicators, wedding programs, guest books, or even just really cool pictures to have in your home.
Our Engagement shoot last week was particularly exciting as it is my baby sister and her fiancé. We had so much fun capturing their personalities on camera. Did I say personalities? I meant their ridiculousness ;)
Whether you are keen on having your photo taken or not, the engagement session is one of the greatest services you and your fiancé can take advantage of prior to your wedding. To be able to photograph this historic time in your life so you can review it at your leisure is truly priceless. Not only for the two of you to look back on, but in time, for all your future generations to see from whom they came, and the love they came from.
